I see the story has traveled;
The deal was Jason was running his big mouth, before Colt Munden’s bull riding in November 2003. He was going on about how rank he was and how no one could ride him and he said including me.
I had seen the bull before and nobody could last about 3 jumps. He was pretty much an Eliminator.
Jason went on saying he would bet money that I couldn’t ride him, so everyone around bet him money on it,
I was right there the whole time, and just amazed that for one I got suckered in to it and another they were doing this right in front of my face.
So I agreed to do it after the bull riding and I also bet him $100.
Colt Munden drew the bull at the bull riding; he went about 3 jumps and got his feet then jerked him down. He bucked but I knew I could ride em'.
When the bull riding was over it was my turn and everyone there knew about the bet, It felt like the 10th round at the NFR all over again everyone was piled on the chute looking over my shoulder root’s me on.
"The bull came out ran down the gate and rolled left, off the bat he had me into my hand, but I kicked loose and got back over there, he took two more jumps trying to jerk me down, but didn’t, he then came spinning to the right hard, I made it about one round then he threw me off hard, and I let everyone down."
He wasn’t such an Eliminator that day he just bucked Real Hard.
